SUSTAINABLE DESIGN

The Rubenstein Atrium at Lincoln Center

Living plant walls, a fountain which helps cool and clean the air, skylights which provide natural daylighting, low-flow plumbing, access to public transportation and advanced HVAC controls allowed the Atrium to receive a LEED Gold Certification from the US Green Building Council.

Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts

Although not receiving official LEED Certification, Lincoln Center’s Redevelopment Project took advantage of several green features.  A roof lawn insulates the restaurant space below it while providing a publicly accessible green space.   The Central Plant which provides chilled water for cooling and steam for heat was upgraded to significantly improve its efficiency, reduce energy costs, and reduce the campuses carbon footprint.
