Barneys New York
As Vice President Facilities Development and Operations for Barneys New York, Joe was responsible for all aspects of the management of the physical plant for 36 properties in New York City and throughout the country including: 12 retail stores (both freestanding and mall stores); office space (both as landlord and occupant); warehouse space; a distribution center; seven restaurants (both as landlord and occupant); three beauty salons; tailoring facilities and parking lots. Responsibilities included: environmental safety and compliance; staff hiring, firing and evaluation; repair and maintenance budgeting, contracting and quality control; building violations and legal compliance including OSHA, ADA and NYC Local Laws; fire and life safety procedures and systems; multiple building re-roofing program; elevators and escalators; telecommunication equipment; point-of-sale, computer network, security and telephone system requirements; energy management; and indoor air quality
Radio City Music Hall
As Vice President Facilities for Radio City Productions, Joe was responsible for all aspects of the management of the physical plant for the Music Hall as well as their warehouse facility in Harlem, NY. Responsibilities included all those listed for Barneys New York.
